But how come you have not put a young person in your place? You are no spring chicken. Answer: Thank you for your email. It has always been the policy of the PNM to encourage young people to participate in the main stream politics of Trinidad and Tobago. I’m sure you are aware that in the past women and young people are coming to the forefront to serve our country. In the circumstances, we are trying to present a balanced team - young people along with experienced politicians. Members of the party who are not selected to contest elections can serve the country in other capacities.
